Nadia Trelle was very serious about the clothes she wore at age 3. While challenging for Mom, it was obvious Nadia understood that having style and feeding the need for self- expression and appreciation for how one presented herself to the big wide world made for a happy little girl. Such a passion led her to Ryerson University where she earned her BCOM, and to George Brown College where she received her fashion diploma. With credentials in tow, next it was on to Holt Renfrew Canada who was the beneficiary of all of Nadia’s business skill and fashion fluency.
When you love style and creative ideas you want to share them. Nadia shares her love of Karl Lagerfeld, Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria Beckham, Paris, Italy, style gurus Anna Wintour and Olivia Palermo, denim, and the power of the often-under-valued scarf. Most importantly, Nadia does this in the most accessible way – in a quaint little shop around the corner of Jane and Annette where lux and panache are offered at consignment prices. Coco’s Closet, a fresh and unique designer consignment shop was born in 2010.
Nadia stands ready to assist her clients mix contemporary, designer, and vintage pieces as they discover their own personal style – a style always there and just ready to be revealed. Believing in investing in good staples and then having fun with accessories is the basis of Nadia’s style philosophy. Mixing the unexpected, throwing fashion rules out her striped awning window, Nadia wants your retail experience to be enjoyed. She wants to know what you love, what clothes you have so she can show you a neckpiece that will make you love that “old” item even more. For her it is all about classic with a twist…and then another twist. She will help you channel your inner Sarah Jessica Parker or Grace Kelly if that is what you want!
For Nadia, style is not something attached to a price tag but something special attached to the essence of a woman. She waits for that smile that crosses a woman’s face when she has something on that is transformational. Coco’s Closet is not for just the fashion-informed. It is for any woman who loves and cares for herself and who in-between doing the serious work of a woman, wants to have fun and develop a relationship with lovely clothes.
It’s about fun. It’s about beauty. It’s about you. Oh, and denim and scarves!
